Launched in 2003, Stella by Stella McCartney is a sexy, seductive new fragrance based on the contrast between the freshness and softness of roses, and the dark sensuality of amber. Other notes include peony flower and mandarin.
This is one of those scents that always makes me feel pretty and confident. The holding power of this fragrance is phenomenal, I can spray it in the morning (and I only use one spray) and still smell it when I undress at night. It's not overpowering in the least.
The biggest plus for me, and something hard to find in a fragrance, is the long-lasting TOTALITY of it. What you smell in the bottle is what you will smell all day, and all night. There are no lingering notes that stand out or fade out, you get the whole experience of this perfume all day long. The best of it, all of it, all the time. This is so hard to find in a scent!
I've worn this to very important meetings and events in my life, because I know it's universally appealing and unoffensive. It's subtle enough not to bother people who have allergies, yet persistent and vibrant enough to be noticed. It smells expensive from the time you put it on, it doesn't leave any off notes anywhere. This is the kind of scent you wear when you are unsure of who you will be surrounded by, knowing that it will appeal to many.
This is a fresh feminine rose fragrance with touches of other subtle notes and nothing like the rose fragrance grandmothers wear. I have never worn such a beautiful fragrance before which draws compliments everywhere I go. Its just a shame it is so expensive as I can only wear it on special occasions where as I would like to wear it more often.
