About the Author

CAROL J. PIERMAN was born in 1947 and raised in northwest Ohio. After receiving an M.F.A. from Bowling Green, she directed the grants program at the Coordinating Council of Literary Magazines. She has taught at Southern Illinois University and University of Missouri, St. Louis. She also edits River Styx. A chapbook, Passage, was published in 1977, and a full-length collection, The Naturalized Citizen, in 1981.
