I read this book because I am a minister and I wanted an inside
perspective on the destructive force of drugs and alcohol. It is an
incredible story that lets you feel almost every emotion possible
before its conclusion! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for
hope in their lives or for someone they love who is perhaps facing
some of the same obstacles! What a Great God is Jesus Christ!! He
truly is a deliverer! -Dustin Midkiff
It was easy for me to choose a high rating for this book, because
it captivated my interest! Like Angel, I have heard personally of
the struggles so many people have with emotional and spiritual
bondage. I was so encouraged when she surrendered to God and began
to walk out of her bondage. As I read about her recognition of how
she tried to manipulate God with her prayers, I thought "spiritual
growth" yes!!! I read this book a few days ago and have already
recommended it to several friends. Everyone, from any circumstance
or walk of life will enjoy it...I am sure of it. -Wilma Glass
I wholeheartedly recommend this book! Not only was the story
inspiring, it captured my attention from the first page and never
let go. It was hard to put the book down. I ended up reading it in
two sittings--but it would have been one if I hadn't had
obligations that forced me to stop reading. Angel is a brave woman
for sharing her story. -Jennifer Smith
This book provides a brutally honest account of the descent into
addiction, the life of an addict and the ascent to freedom from
addiction....well written and very moving. This account has been on
my mind since I finished the book last night...a gripping story.
How many "Angels" are in need of a chance...thanks, Angel and
Rachael. -Wanda Wyser
Thank you, Rachel, for writing Angel's story in an honest, discreet
manner. This book stirs compassion for those we have a tendency to
shun. It reminds us that we are all sinners who have been given
many undeserved chances. I highly recommend it to anyone involved
in Christian ministry -Barbara Westburg
I loved so many things about this book but what I love most was how
upfront & honest it was. I also really enjoyed how tactfully &
maturely it dealt with some very difficult topics. This book is an
extremely easy read & perfect for many ages levels. -Adilya
