Michael Peppiatt has spent his professional life with many of the greatest artists of the 20th century. His close friendships and frequent studio visits with Dubuffet, Sonia Delaunay, Balthus, Henry Moore, Francis Bacon, Tapies, Claes Oldenburg, Brassai and Cartier-Bresson, among others, have produced an extraordinary range of revealing interviews which combine to give a unique perspective on art from the Second World War to the present day. He began his career as an art critic in London and Paris in the 1960s and eventually became editor and publisher of Art International magazine. In addition to curating numerous exhibitions worldwide he is the author of many publications. He is currently curating a Miro exhibition for Germany and writing the first of several memoirs.
