The author of this book, Ananga Sivyer, is a healer of great experience and ability. The Art & Science of Emotional Freedom is mainly about the therapy Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), but Anangas considerable experience in a wide range of Meridian Therapies shines through at every stage. The book covers all aspects of EFT, gently leading the reader from the history, through the theory and on to the practice of this new and evolving therapy. The theory section is exceptionally good and nowhere else have I seen such a good explanation of the roots of EFT in Chinese Medicine and Meridian Theory. The book is worth obtaining as a reference for this part alone. Based on this sound foundation the book proceeds through a full explanation of the basics of EFT before introducing a number of additional and supplementary matters, which lead the reader on to the latest ideas in this field. Anangas style is open and free. The Art & Science of Emotional Freedom is easy and rewarding to read with clear illustrations to aid understanding and add interest. The author has been practicing Complementary Medicine for over ten years and her knowledge and enthusiasm is apparent in her writing. She is an Executive Director of the Association for Meridian Therapies and a Licensed Trainer of EFT. She runs regular workshops demonstrating these techniques, and the experience she has gained is evident throughout this book. The Art & Science of Emotional Freedom is a book I would unreservedly recommend to therapists and lay practitioners alike. It is both a good read and an informative reference. Review by Dr Tam Llewellyn-Edwards, PhD, FRSA, MHMA, MAMT. The Art and Science of Emotional Freedom is a wonderful piece of work! The presentation is absolutely gorgeous and the meridian information most interesting.
