About the Author

Levi Pinfold graduated from University College Falmouth in 2006. Since then he has worked as a freelance author and illustrator. He paints with watercolour and gouache, creating imagery from imagination and memory. His first book, The Django, (Templar, 2010), was longlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal and won a Booktrust Early Years Award naming Levi Best Emerging Illustrator. His most recent book, Black Dog was the winner of the Kate Greenaway Medal in 2013. He lives in Cornwall and plays banjo when no one else is looking.
