About the Author

Lyn Ford has performed stories from her African-American heritage in Appalachia at the National Storytelling Festival and scores of educational conferences and storytelling festivals coast-to-coast. Her previous books include Affrilachian Tales, Beyond the Briar Patch, and Hot Wind, Boiling Rain: Scary Stories for Strong Hearts. Sherry Norfolk is a former chair of the National Storytelling Network and co-author of The Moral of the Story. Both Ford and Norfolk have decades of experience and many recognitions as award-winning professional storytellers and authors, and as teaching artists who are noted for their work with adults and children of all ages.
