Reviews

This low-priced edition of London's 1903 classic offers good value for the money. It is not only illustrated and annotated, but it also includes a bibliography, a chronology of events, and a scholarly introduction by editor Dyer. A real bargain for the price.

Actor Jeff Daniels expertly brings to life Jack London's classic story of survival in the Yukon Territory's harsh landscape. He reads the tale with compassion and empathy for Buck's plight, giving a pitch-perfect performance. Characters are voiced with believable accents, and music and the sounds of the wild enhance the telling. (c) Copyright 2011. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
