Jeremy Cope spent much of his life living and working in London running homes for the elderly. At the age of 49, he retired with his life-long partner to spend much of his time between Brighton and his holiday homes in Malta and Thailand. The book was inspired by his life-long love of cats and the mischievous Miss Licky who loved to jump on the sofa and lick everyone she could reach. It was reinforced in great part by the magical islands of Malta and Gozo. His love of the Three Cities where much of the story is based, is founded on many real life experiences, and of course the many cats to be found there. The Maltese are instinctive cat lovers by nature and they have become the major source of inspiration for this book. This is the first book published by this author.
