About the Author

Dr Moonis Ahmar is Professor of International Relations at the University of Karachi and the Director of the program on Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution. His field of specialization is conflict and security studies focussing on the South and the Central Asian regions. Dr Ahmar has 29 years of experience in the field of academia in Pakistan and in different foreign universities and research think tanks. He is the author of two books, four monographs and has edited fifteen books on different themes of International Relations. He has published his research in international journals and has worked on several research projects related to terrorism, conflict and security studies.
