About the Author

Mary Ann Gehle is one of 44 grandchildren born to Joseph P. and Anna Rerucha. She has lived on the east coast most of her life, but her Nebraska roots and Czech heritage have remained a source of inspiration and interest. She has worked to record family stories and history which she feels will continue to impact future generations. She lives with her husband, Keith, in Mount Airy, Maryland.
