I loved this book when I was a kid. I am reading it to my kids one chapter per night. My girls are aged 8 and 6 and they eagerly look forward to their chapter before they go to bed. I was looking for a book to instill a love of reading in my kids and I believe that this series is teaching them how to enjoy their reading.
Highly recommended to both parents and teachers that want to awake some reading interest in their children. The chapters are quite short so they are a good size for reading before bed.
Great book, couldn't put this series down as a child and have now purchased for step daughter and niece.
Both love the books, one keen reader other struggles to stay intrested but this series was a big hit!
This is an absolutley beautiful book. It is the only book with no pictures that my 2 boys aged 5 & 2 will attentively listen to without needing pictures to look at. There's an exciting new & completely different adventure in each chapter.
I grew up with the Enid Blyton books. I now have a 4 year old daugther, and when I came across 'The Enchanted Wood' on your website, I just knew she would love it too. And she has!! We have read it every night since it arrived. The short chapters in the book make it great reading for my daughters age group.
A classic book that all children will love. Enid Blyton knows how to keep children interested and even though this book was written a long time ago it still appeals to children of today.
This was a great book for me when I was younger. I think I read it at the age of 6. From then on it sparked my imagination and my motivation to go on reading more of Enid Blytons' books! I would get lost for hours in such a wonderfully created world. It makes me happy knowing that these books are still around today, so that our new generation of younger readers can get lost in a world of their own.

this was literally one of my fave books from when i was a child! i loved the whole story of it all, that there was a tree that could grant your every wish, and take you to many far away lands! they kids all had such fun in them, and met some lovely people like saucepan man, it really made me jealous!
The first book in a great series by Enid Blyton. Yes they have made the names PC but the kids still go to all the great places at the top of the faraway tree and you find out how they got there in the first place...
