"This is great teen fiction set in New Zealand but with an international (and more) cast. Current issues are tackled head-on (racism, financial greed, politics) within a tale that combines science fiction and fantasy and plenty of action. Narrated by Sam Kahu, a Maori lad whose father killed his mother 10 years ago the tale has a delightful combination of youthful energy and a wisdom beyond his years, learned through his psychic abilities."
