Reviews

"A MAN FINDS HIS SOUL ONLY AFTER LOSING HIS VOICE TO CANCER. Hopefully, he can teach the same lesson to his unhappy daughter before it's too late. Karen Mittelman's prose rings convincingly true while her eye remains gimlet but compassionate." -Nancy Zafris, author of The Home Jar: Stories "WRITTEN WITH A POET'S EYE FOR DETAIL, Gone Bolshevik tells the moving story of a woman's struggle to care for her young son and her dying father, while keeping her own marriage afloat. In the author's words, the protagonist is facing a 'sea of obligations.' What we want to know as we turn the pages is: How does she navigate these dark waters?" -Janet Mason, author of Tea Leaves and Hitching To Nirvana
