Reviews

"Good News about Gender is a tremendous resource to the church, to small groups, Sunday School classes, and individuals wanting to reflect on how God's word speaks to our embodiment, and to our responsibility to build up the body of Christ and to serve the world." -Dr. Jenell Paris, Professor of Anthropology, Messiah College (Grantham, PA), author of The End of Sexual Identity: Why Sex is too Important to Define Who We Are. "What I love about Hannah's work is that it's both authentic and smart. Authentic in that it flows from her own life-story and incredible passion for gender issues. Smart in that she's able to guide her readers through some challenging theological and exegetical questions like an old pro, belying her age."-Rick Mattson, author of Faith is Like Skydiving: And Other Memorable Images for Dialogue with Seekers and Skeptics. "A fresh voice, biblically rich, culturally broad, practically applicable. Here is a guide... to help us grow to be the blessings that God created us to be." -Miriam Adeney, Ph.D. Associate Professor of World Christian Studies, Seattle Pacific University and author of, Kingdom Without Borders: The Untold Story of Global Christianity. "The Guide is a timely response to address what Hannah points out should be a major concern to every Christian: 'Misguided interpretations damage the church internally and threaten our witness.' We thoroughly enjoyed reading the book and recommend it as a must-have to all men and women who yearn for an authentic and liberating experience of embodying God's truth"-Revd. Gideon and Prof Funmi Para-Mallam (Regional Secretary, International Fellowship of Evangelical Student-English & Portuguese Speaking Africa (IFES-EPSA); National Coordinator, Christian Women for Excellence & Empowerment in Nigerian Society (CWEENS). Comments from young adults: "I absolutely love it! This has really helped me deal with some of those specific hard passages, and has also transformed my big picture understanding of gender in the Bible- the amazing freedom that is there for us in the kingdom of God." "I felt God's presence and truth speaking and loving through the message. I think before and after everything else this is the most important." "I really appreciated the author's ability to explain theological terms like exegesis and hermeneutics in succinct clear ways."
