About the Author

Douglas Pinnell is an insurance veteran who has spent nearly two decades in insurance, gaining expertise in life insurance, living benefits, and health and dental programs. He is a sought-after speaker on wealth and business preservation topics such as succession planning and maximizing investment in a group benefits plan. Pinnell also serves on boards such as the Society for Design Administration and CSC's Grand Valley Chapter. Douglas is part of a husband-and-wife insurance team with more than 45 years of combined experience. The insurance veterans have helped Mumby Insurance Brokers reach new heights of innovation while maintaining a client-centered approach. Douglas's business partner Anthea Mumby publishes The Mumby Report and Business by Design-free educational newsletters available to clients and others interested in maximizing their insurance dollar. Having grown up in Parry Sound Ontario, with his first boat at the age of 10, Douglas is happiest on the water, and is an avid boater.
