About the Author

Zoe Greaves trained as an actress but her love of books took over. She gave up acting to become a bookseller and write. Her lyrical text perfectly complements Leslie’s detailed artwork.

Leslie Sadleir qualified as a graphic designer and worked in publishing. She rediscovered her love of illustration when she began to collaborate with her daughter Zoe.

The beautiful, finely detailed illustrations have an almost photographic quality to them and it’s a case of the more you look, the more you see: butterflies flitting among the poppies and cornflowers in the meadow, and the frog and vole beside the bulrushes for instance.
