About the Author

Patricia Shehan Campbell is the author of Music in Childhood and Songs in Their Heads, co-editor of The Oxford Handbook of Children's Musical Cultures, and other books on music for children in school and at home. Her extensive research and teaching experience encompasses music and movement for children, and she lectures widely on the musical engagement of children. She holds the Donald E. Peterson professorship in Music at the University of Washington, and lives in Seattle with her husband and son. Maja Pitamic is the author of I Can Do It, the successful activity book for ages three to five, as well as the co-author of Modern Art Adventures. She has over fifteen years' experience of teaching young children and holds a degree in Art History and Montessori Teacher Training.
