K-Gr 4-Jackson, a green treefrog, lives in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. When he hears that a new tourist brochure is being prepared featuring his home, he is determined that treefrogs be represented. He carefully plans to be there when the photographer's finger hits the button, but finds his plan requires a lot of extra work. It pays off in the humorous ending when all the photographs include, along with their main subjects, a small green treefrog. This story about perseverance has a moral neatly woven into its fabric. The video features the plants and animals of the Okefenokee nicely depicted in Andra Chase's watercolor illustrations. These are scanned iconographically with some simple animation added, as the male narrator expressively reads the story. The video is accompanied by Linda Talley's book (MarshMedia, 1998). The production is professionally done, and worthy of inclusion in any library.-Teresa Bateman, Brigadoon Elementary School, Federal Way, WA
