Ann McReynolds Bush grew up in Texas and Louisiana, the daughter of Lt. Commander Robert Wing McReynolds, Jr. She holds a BA in English from the State University of New York and an MLS from Columbia University. Upon her retirement from a career in education, she returned to the New Orleans area. Hurricane Katrina subsequently destroyed her home and irrevocably altered her life and her point of view. Ten years later, she shares her memories of the storm, the politics, and the astounding blame game which took place as a result of the worst natural disaster in American history.
