About the Author

Ann Carol Ulrich became acquainted with Annette Vetter when she was just a teen, growing up in Monona, Wisconsin in the late '60s. She graduated from Monona Grove High School as Ann Schumacher, and had by then written the first drafts of the first two mysteries. The third book in the Annette Vetter series was written in her twenties while she attended Michigan State University. The Legend of the Lantern was inspired by weekends spent in rural Stevens Point, Wisconsin when Ann was a teenager visiting her brother's family. She first heard about the Man with the Lantern from her brother, Jon Schumacher. Ann Carol Ulrich grew up in Wisconsin and has lived in Michigan, Kentucky, Colorado, Oregon and Ohio. She is the mother of three grown sons and grandmother to Vorian Ulrich. Currently she resides in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. She continues to write novels for both young people and adults - now under the name Ann Ulrich Miller. Other published works include her spiritual autobiography, Throughout All Time, A Cosmic Love Story, (2009) and her lightworker novel, Rainbow Majesty (2010). She works as an editor and publishing consultant, helping other authors with their books and has published The Star Beacon metaphysical (international) newsletter for 25 years. Ann loves to bake and cook. Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday, so it's no wonder she chose this time of year to write the fourth Annette Vetter adventure. Will there be a fifth adventure? Yes! Annette and Penny have lots of mysteries to solve and more trouble to get into ... She welcomes correspondence. Visit her Web site at www.anncarolulrich.com.
