is a Professor of Missions at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He started two churches during his student days, and then served as an appointed missionary in Panama where he taught at the seminary and trained students to start and develop churches. Upon his return he served as Associate Director at the Home Mission Board and then as Director of Missions for the Baptist Convention of New York where he led in the initiation of record numbers of churches. For many years he taught and practiced Lifestory Encounters as an evangelistic tool. This sparked his interest in Bible Storying. For several years Dr. Sanchez has joined forces with J. O. Terry to teach courses and workshops at Southwestern Seminary and in other countries. He is a prolific author and co-author of several books, including among others: Bible Storying for Church Planting, The Gospel in the Rosary, Starting Reproducing Congregations, Church Planting Movements in North America
