June Melton, III, P.E., BSArE, MSE, is the author of The Mysterious Adventures of Marshal Yeager, Professional Engineer, a series of stories loosely based on actual cases that he and other forensic engineers have investigated. June received his engineering degrees from the University of Texas at Austin in 1965 and 1966 and is licensed as a professional engineer in several states. He specializes in structural, civil, and architectural engineering. His engagements during his 40-plus years of engineering practice include 8 years as CEO of an engineering/construction company, 22 years as CEO of an architectural engineering firm, and thousands of engineering design, inspection, and construction projects. He has conducted forensic investigations nationwide in the public and private sectors. June is a member of several technical societies, has lectured on national security matters, and has authored several technical papers and seminars. His reports are routinely used by attorneys in settlement discussions and at trial.
