About the Author

Graeme Rudland has been a senior examiner for OCR GCSE music since 1988 and has been chief examiner since 2003. Following 15 years teaching music in secondary schools, he has worked in advisory services since 1991. Graeme led the team of writers for the new OCR GCSE music specification. He is also currently an area leader for the Trinity Guildhall and the Open University key stage 2 programme, and a lead regional subject adviser for the new key stage 3 music curriculum. Reece Galley is an advanced skills teacher in music technology at the Friary High School, an arts and sports college in Lichfield, Staffordshire. He is a regional support advisor for the new key stage 3 national curriculum in music. He has been an assistant principal moderator for OCR GCSE music and an examiner for Edexcel A-level music technology. He regularly runs INSET courses for OCR GCSE music where the development of materials for use in the classroom has been welcomed by colleagues. He also supports teachers across the Midlands in their use of music technology in the classroom through one to one consultations and training courses. Margaret Marshall is a head of music and leader of expressive arts at a school in Nottingham. She is an experienced script marker for OCR GCSE music and has served on various committees for many years. Margaret has recently been involved with the development of the new OCR GCSE music specification and has subsequently contributed to Rhinegold publications and led courses for Keynote.
