Aodogan O’ Rahilly was born in 1904 and died in 2000. He attended Mount St Benedict in County Wexford and studied engineering at UCD, taking a year out to serve with the republican forces in 1922. Reviews

‘This well-illustrated book gives an intimate picture of the role played by O’Rahilly in the 1916 drama … this volume is a magnificent achievement. Far more than an act of filial homage, it is a monumentum aere perrennius.’ —The Irish Times
