Reviews

Praise for the The 8th Circle: "This dark thriller is a fast-paced plunge." --Kirkus starred review "Ryan is a perfect hero; with nothing left to lose, he's incorruptible. One can certainly see the brooding journalist making a compelling series lead." --Booklist "Cain's intricately plotted first novel...makes for exciting reading." --Publishers Weekly "Darkly twisted and tightly written, this debut novel is packed with action...An intriguing and unexpected conclusion leaves the stage perfectly set for future books in the series." --RT Book Reviews "Mr. Patterson may want to watch his back for the competition to come from this new kid on the block... If this first effort is any indication, Cain will make a name for herself in the world of suspense thrillers... I, for one, am looking forward to reading each and every installment." --Bookreporter "I've found a new hero in Danny Ryan. A reporter's reporter and a man the world can't beat. A tough and resourceful muckraker. The 8th Circle is a superior thriller with human characters and real heart. I thoroughly enjoyed this comeback story of a once great ink-stained wretch searching for truth in a web of corruption." --Ace Atkins, former crime reporter turned New York Times bestselling author of Robert B. Parker's Kickback and The Redeemers. "With The 8th Circle, Sarah Cain brings her knowledge of politics and journalism to bear in a twisty, winding thriller in which nothing is as it seems." --Wallace Stroby, author of the Crissa Stone series "Taut and tense: a deeply intriguing and stylishly clever thriller." --Sharon Bolton, award-winning author of Little Black Lies
