About the Author

Bryony Allen is an English teacher and SENCo at a middle school in Suffolk, where she lives with her husband, four children and dogs. She studied English and Drama at Roehampton before going on to teacher training at Homerton college. She has always enjoyed writing but, until recently, was satisfied to keep it as a hobby. Following a traumatic Ofsted inspection, she decided to write her first adult novel involving the death of an Ofsted inspector. Subsequently, she decided to write for young adults; partly because of her experiences as a teacher and a mother but also as an antidote to disillusioned teenage pupils who declared that, "Reading is boring!" In her writing, Bryony injects the dark side that she likes to read about; so expect to find the paranormal mingled in with everyday life. Although she works full time, Bryony is available for interviews by email or phone.

Reviews

This book really took me by surprise, it was definitely not what I was expecting at all. The book deals very strongly with the issues surrounding bullying, but within this book they take on rather a sinister tone that appealed to my dark side." Vivienne Serendipity (12 May 2011) Engrossing, superb teenage read that also highlights some important issues." (Jonathon "Bookster" - 4 July 2011) " - it's a book that deserves to be read, the only question remains is what does OTOLI stand for - I know but do you?" (Jesse Owen, Books for Teens - 17 July 2011)
