About the Author

Joanne Stern has been a psychotherapist for more than twenty years and a parent for thirty-three years, including five as a single mum. As an expert in family relationships and communication, she has taught parenting classes and worked with families and their children. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Northwestern University, a double master's in counseling and theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in human and organisational systems from Fielding Graduate University.
