About the Author

Kate Bass lives with her family in Cambridge, where she works as an illustrator. She was shortlisted for the Arts Council/Radio 4 'First Verse' award in 2002. A short dance based on The Onion House was performed by Jia-yu Chang at Platform East in Ipswich in Oct 2002 and again in London in January 2003.
