About the Author

Brian Charleton was born and reared in Dublin, Ireland. He was lived and worked in France, England and Germany. He currently lives in Dublin and North-west Mayo, doing landscaping, maintenance and market gardening. Brian Charleton began writing as a teenager and his works have appeared in magazines, have been read out on national radio, and in book form. Private Thrills was his first venture into commercial fiction in the thriller genre. Private Thrillls began as a concept when a friend asked Brian Charleton to edit said friend's thriller. The work, laden down with gloom and political relevance, provoked the thought in Brian Charleton that 'I can write an entertaining thriller full of humor and pace that is completely politically neutral' much like a Woody Allen film. The idea of Private Thrills was born. Private Thrills was conceived as a fast-moving, pacey novel laced with scintillating dialogue that would make you roll around the sofa with laughter, if you happened to be on one. For those of who happen to be in a train station or an airport it comes with a guarantee to cheer you up, much like Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl series. 'If you want to sell a book', his mother advised Brian Charleton at a young age, 'you have to include a bit of S-E-X.' She was of that generation in Ireland who would not say the word though she was prepared to spell it out. To the fast-moving action and sparkling dialogue, add a dash of sex. Have a plot to keep the reader gripped, page-turning, and not noticing the time passing, full of twists and unexpected happenings. Seamlessly weave an uplifting subplot through the twists and turns of the main highway and then bring it all together in an exciting, cathartic, conclusion. In your hands is Private Enemy # 1, sequel to Private Thrills, faithfully written by Brian Charleton for your sheer pleasure and enjoyment.
