About the Author

My name is Taryn Nakamura, but for the first two weeks of my life, I had no name. During my brief stint as a common noun ("the baby"), I compensated for proper noun deficiency by learning to love language a little too much. Born and raised in Hawaii, I've recently returned home after receiving a B.A. in English at Yale University. As a writing concentrator at Yale, I focused on fiction, but as a Hyperink writer, I've learned that nonfiction can also be fun. In my free time, I like to run at walking pace, haunt libraries, and eat pickles.
