Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Carolyn has traveled the world. In all, she has been to 40 different nations; caught in explosive gunfire and riots in Brikama, The Gambia; overcome by tear gas in Freetown, Sierra Leone; bombed on in Tripoli, Libya; survived a hurricane and devastating flooding in Monterrey, Mexico; led medical outreach teams to Northern Cambodia; and lived on the Mercy Ship 'Anastasis' for 5 years. She is lover of God, devoted to the poor and needy of this world. This desire and dedication has led her to serve in self- supporting mission work with Mercy Ships and Ywam for 12 years. Carolyn hopes to continue serving in missions with renewed vision and passion for abused women and vulnerable children wherever that may take her in the world. She is blessed with two wonderful grown children and one very special grandchild.
