About the Author

Joanne Kaminski was a classroom teacher and a Reading Specialist at an inner city school in Milwaukee for 8 years. She won an award for motivating the most students in the city of Milwaukee to read 2 years in a row. She was featured on Fox 6 news for her innovative teaching methods at a school in Waukesha, and now she owns her own online reading tutoring company. Her first one was about her own little girls called Three Sisters Learn to Get Along. She has also written books that guide parents in how to raise their own child's reading level. Her first one is called 31 Days to Become a Better Reader: Increasing your struggling reader's reading level. Her second one is called How to Raise Non-fiction Reading Levels. Joanne herself was a struggling reader as she grew up. She was always placed in the lowest reading groups and not able to participate in certain classes because of it. Because of this Joanne has a passion for increasing children's reading levels. One of the ways she does this is through her own books that she has written. Joanne enjoys inspiring young children to read and to spark their imagination through their own writing.
