About the Author

Juanita "Teto" Heffington is a 91 year-old crackerjack with no plans to leave the planet. Because she was her mother's husband and son, all her life she's been that woman that does things other women won't dare to do. Like painting a two-story house, plus the verandah ceiling as she walked across an improvised scaffold 10 feet above the brick patio. Every fall she's pruned 38 trees with her own saw. She's mixed cement to lay brick, and built fences. She's spent 1000 hours pulling down ceilings and repairing an old house for resale. She's helped work on cars from a 1941 Ford, and many VWs, to a Porsche and Mercedes. She's whelped puppies and kitties. And she's never been grossed out by anything. Especially bugs and wildlife. Married for 65 years she suddenly found herself single again at 86 and decided to embrace life fully, with both arms wide open. With a Revolutionary War soldier and Civil War drummer in her lineage, and children who live and play all over the world in her posterity, she just might be the most interesting woman in the world. And she doesn't even drink beer!
