About the Author

James Higbie holds a BA in Biology from Denison University and an MA in ESL teaching from the University of Hawaii. He served in the Peace Corps in Sierra Leone and has worked in education projects in Thailand, Laos, Sudan, and Kenya. Previous publications include Thai Reference Grammar, Essential Thai, Let's Speak Thai, Let's Speak Lao, and Lao-English/English- Lao Dictionary and Phrasebook, which is published by Hippocrene Books.
