About the Author

Joseph Romanos is one of New Zealand's leading sports writers. He has been (and still is) a sports columnist for 16 newspapers since 1982, has written 45 books (mainly on sport), and has had weekly sports slots on Radio Sport and Radio New Zealand. He has been attending Olympic and Commonwealth Games since 1986 and has covered many other sports at international level, from cricket and rugby to yachting and tennis.
