CHARLES DAVIS After twenty years travelling the world pretending to be a teacher, Charles Davis concluded that wandering about mountain tops was a more productive way of spending his time than standing in front of a classroom, a decision that has lead to over a dozen books for Discovery Walking Guides.He is also the author of several novels, published by The Permanent Press. He is accompanied in his peregrinations by Jeannette (a refugee from the French education system) and assorted dogs that other people saw fit to dump in the local Rescue Centre, often for very good reasons.JAN KOSTURA After university, Jan Kostura set off on his travels, living and working in various far-flung places inspired by his passion for stimulating multicultural environments. However, being a stressed out desk-jockey in a hectic consulting business turned out not to be his thing, so after two years slouching in a chair he swapped the office for a more liberating environment the great outdoors.
