About the Author

The illustrator: Marcel Morote AKA Mor Since 1984 he has been drawing historical graphic novels about his chosen home the Languedoc Roussillon: two books on guilds, five volumes on the Aude country as well as albums on Rennes le Château, the clergyman Saunière, Catharism, Beaucaire...After 'Lili sur les quais' a thriller written by Bernard Coatl, his latest album is 'Demba Diop, la force des rochers' an album on the colonial troops during World War I. He is the author of three volumes of the 'Chevalier mécanique' with Sandawe Publishing. The scriptwriter: Thierry Bonneyrat Holder of a degree in modern litterature, he has written a number of children's books and a poetry anthology for adults. He is the author of a book of historical short stories titled 'Les Nouvelles du Front'. He has written essays on the Great War concerning rarely discussed subjects such as the role of minorities, more specifically the Senegalese in the French army and the Chinese in the English army. One of his short stories has been turned into a graphic novel under the title: 'Demba Diop, la force des rochers' with drawings by Mor. He is also the author of two other scripts for graphic novels on World War I which will be published in 2016, as well as another one on World War II. The History Expert: Patrice Courcelle Direct descendant of the Old Masters who inspire him, all the way back to the battle painters of Louis XIV, Patrice Courcelle is both an artist and an historian. His painstakingly documented plates, his knowledgeable illustrations, and also his paintings based on a particularly diligent historical research where exactitude of facts, circumstances, personalities and uniforms have resulted in his renown as a sought-after expert. Author and/or illustrator of countless articles, of more than 80 books devoted to Napoleonic military history, of which more than 25 on the Battle of Waterloo itself, for 15 years Courcelle has been contributing as co-author and illustrator, to a collection titled Waterloo 1815 - Les Carnets de la Campagne considered as the absolute best on the subject by both amateurs and professionals.
