  • The Oklahoma-based country-rock ensemble Cross Canadian Ragweed built its sizeable following with years of steady touring, an experience that greatly informs 2005's GARAGE, one of the group's tightest and most consistent albums. Many songs on the record sound like Ryan Adams--if he had been inspired by Lynyrd Skynyrd instead of Gram Parsons--as the band creates a mix of straightforward southern-fried rockers and honky-tonk ravers that's difficult to resist.
