The much-anticipated full-length debut from husky, internet savvy singer/songwriter Lana Del Ray featured 12 cuts, including the self-described "Gangsta Nancy Sinatra"'s omnipresent 2010 hit "Video Games." Born to Die drops January 27, 2012 on Interscope.
Professional Reviews
Paste (magazine) - "[H]ighly listenable pop songs that defy easy answers."
While this album may not be the strongest debut from an artist, Lana Del Rey does show some potential with her fusion alternative Old Hollywood, New York Gangster style. Born to Die and Video Games are her stronger songs, but there is a lot of repetition and a sense of monotoned nature with most of the tracks. The album is something that you can really love, or really not, so listen to a few more tracks before you purchase the entire cd.
