"Move over Harry Potter, Eragon, and Dragonriders of Pern and make room for The Golden Dragon (The Dragon Artifacts Book 1) by Mike Shelton! One of the things that I loved about this book right from the very beginning was that it had a full color map that showed all of the important locations in the story. This was such a huge bonus for me because it helped me to get a feel for where the story was taking place in relation to other places and characters. My favorite character ended up being Battlemaster Allison Stenos. I loved her sense of right and wrong, her willingness to fight for what she believes in, and her fierceness in battle.
