The Intimacies Pattern #219 from Folkwear includes four different underwear pieces, including a camisole, tap pants, a teddy and a slip. It ends just below the waist, which can be drawn up by a ribbon through a casing. The Tap Pants (or knickers) close at the side placket with snaps. Worn low on the waist, they fit smoothely over the hip and flare out delicately from the fullest point. Simple binding finishes the edges. Teddy (known in it's time as Cami-knickers) - the bias cut gives the teddy a close fit with comfort. Shaped facings finish the top; small buttoned inserts catch centre front and back together at the crotch gusset. The bias Slip extends the teddy's flatering bias cut to mid-knee. Optional embellishment instructions include crocheted shoulder straps and top edge with beading on the camisole.
