Cuisses were padded thigh pieces, often with plates and metal kneecaps attached. Hose worn while fighting could be padded in places. Hose ranged from baggy to skintight, dull to wildly colourful. The angel-wing tunic could also be worn as civilian wear. These patterns are functional fighting garb for use in the Society for Creative Anachronism and other re-enactment or recreation groups. They can also be used as is or in an adapted form for civilian wear in these groups, or for stage productions.
