About the Author

For Robert and Muriel Pepper, exploring the Melbourne region by 4WD is a fun activity they both enjoy, combining their passion of travel with the thrill of adventure. Nowadays they are accompanied by their two young daughters and more often than not, their friends too. The Peppers are active members of two 4WD clubs and regularly organise trips and activities, both locally in the forests around Melbourne as well as further afield. Robert is a freelance motoring journalist specialising in off-road vehicles and a senior instructor with 4WD Victoria. He is the author of two previous Boiling Billy titles The 4WD Handbook and GPS Vehicle Navigation in Australia.
