About the Author

Joanne Baker is the author of Quercus' best selling science title "50 Physics Ideas You Really Need to Know." She studied Physics at the University of Cambridge, UK, and took her PhD in Astrophysics at the University of Sydney in 1995. She is Books & Arts editor at "Nature" magazine.
