It All Started, 1963 David Schroeder was born on August 23, 1963, in Appleton, WI. Depending on how you look at it, David was blessed or cursed with supernatural amounts of energy. Doctors prescribed him Ritalin and left him to be a lifeless couch potato. At the age of seven, he suffered his first injury, riding downhill on a Banana bike with the high handlebars and the stick shift between his legs. As he moved into his teens, David discovered and loved BMX and skateboarding, activities fraught with injuries from having fun, and just being wild and carefree. As he got older, he got heavily into martial arts, then mountain biking, roller/street blading. No matter what he did, he was always finding ways to injure himself. What Works Becomes A Book The world thinks in terms of events, economic events, catastrophic events, etc. David has what he terms pain events.
