About the Author

Luigi Nifosi was born in the province of Ragusa, and for more than twenty years has travelled all over Sicily - and flown from one corner to the other - to capture images of its landscape, environmental, monumental and cultural heritage. This impressive treasure house of images has been published by numerous magazines and included in prestigious publications. Dominique Fernandez is a French novelist and essayist who won the Prix Medecis 1974 for his book 'Porporino - The Mysteries of Naples' and the Prix Goncourt 1982 for 'Dans la main de l'ange'. He is extremely well informed about Italian culture in general and loves Sicily in particular.
