Ruby Brower, an avid Life Coach and Educator, is a graduate of Andrews University (2001) Behavioral Science. Her interest started in the early 90's when she was working with the Extension Division for University of Massachusetts. She has over 25 years of experience working in the field of Community Development as well as Social Entrepreneurship. Ruby has won many awards for her work in communities, including an award for working tirelessly in inner cities, given by Parents Anonymous. Ruby Brower worked as Grant Reviewer with the Compassionate Fund for the Federal Government. In this position, she saw many deserving agencies that were doing such great work, and did not know how to compete. She came back to the community, to offer the skills in a way that can be understood as well as economical. Currently Ms. Brower works with Individual Family and Community Development "I-FACD," a non-profit, Life Coaching agency, in which she founded in 2003. She serves as a LIFE COACH and a LIFE COACH trainer. I-FACD is a hybrid, using an enterprise approach to social issues. The specialty of the organization is to help individuals, families and communities to overcome barriers to reaching their goals, using social entrepreneurship through business development, spiritual and social growth, financial literacy, physical development, educational development, career development, job retention, attitude adjustment and leisure and cultural development. I-FACD is located in an administrative office of the Mishawaka Food Pantry in Indiana. 80% percent of the people who use the pantry, have expressed they want MORE SATISFACTION in their lives! Brower empowers them in coming out of the circle of dependence, using personal responsibility, resources, and respect for self and others. A Life Coach, and building a support team gives them the strength to go farther. It is her goal, to place a Life Coach in every food pantry, that serves at least 100 people per month, globally.
