Dr. Barb Fox graduated from Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. She worked in various practices in northeast Iowa and eventually opened her own mobile veterinary clinic. In 2007, after being diagnosed with a potentially fatal medical condition, she turned to alternative and complementary medicine instead of choosing a strictly conventional treatment plan. Thrilled with the results, she passionately began a course of education and research into holistic modalities for her own animal patients. After years of incorporating pure, unadulterated essential oils, nutritional supplements, homeopathic remedies, massage therapy, and quantum physics principles with her patients, she has become a strong advocate for a holistic approach to health and wellness. Dr. Fox is a firm believer in the mind-body-spirit connection, so much of her work involves addressing underlying emotional issues that can impede physical healing. Dr. Fox has spoken on various holistic health topics pertaining to people and animals at national and regional conferences, and teaches many local classes on safe and effective usage of essential oils. She is a member of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Medical Aromatherapy Association. In her spare time, Dr. Fox enjoys rock hunting, hiking, and spending time in the mountains of Colorado. She and her husband Gary live in beautiful northeast Iowa with their two horses, Chaser and Pal, and their eight house kitties.
