Osbon Woodford served in the army in Vietnam as a medical corpsman and subsequently earned a BS in Finance from The Ohio State University. He worked in accounting until he was diagnosed with colon cancer in 1987. After surgery, his doctors gave him just months to live. Refusing to accept a death sentence, he embarked on a new lifestyle, adopting the holistic philosophy described in this book, and restored himself to vibrant health. During and following his healing, he became a serious student of spirituality and macrobiotics. Over the last 25 years, he has worked as a holistic practitioner, lecturing and counseling others on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. He has appeared on radio and television programs and been cited in books promoting natural and holistic health.
